I've been playing live music in and around Glasgow since 2000.
I played in Waxy O'Connor's (West George St) every Thursday & Sunday night (and later just Thursdays) from 2002 until 2011, first as part of the Mock Turtlenecks and then as a solo act. These days you can usually find me in there every second Saturday early evening.
I also play around twice a month in Molly Malone's (Hope St), O'Neill's (Sauchiehall St) and and O'Neill's (Merchant Sq) with Damien Swail (a former Turtleneck).
I have also played regular slots over the years in The Courtyard (West Nile St) and The Queens Park Café (Victoria Rd).
I co-wrote and recorded a couple of albums with Maggie Devlin, as Yo Como. Give A Sunrise is still available for download from our site with proceeds going to Ripple Africa. There are also a couple of tracks from the album on the music page.
During 2001/2002 I played regularly with Sarcassa, a six piece band fronted by Emma Joyce.
I hosted the weekly open mic session Unplugged in Queen Margaret Union, University of Glasgow during 2000/2001 with Jerzy Kolodziej (another former Turtleneck).
I'm also interested in sound engineering & production and try to record and produce regularly.
A few of my favorite artists are: Barenaked Ladies, The Beatles, Ben Folds Five, Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, Tommy Emmanuel, Fairport Convention, Jack Johnson, Tom McRae, Joni Mitchell, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Shins, Simon & Garfunkel and Rufus Wainwright.
